Vintage autos and their owners from times gone by

Jim’s Angels

Who is that youngster behind the wheel of this 1956 Mercury Convertible? That would be Jim! And how about the two beauties Jim found one day on his way home from the salt mines? Shirley and Ruth Ann of course!  Pic taken on Selfridge St. in Lansing in the 60’s. Was told that this particular Merc burned quite a bit of oil back then. Oil burner or not, that’s a sweet ride you got there, Jim.

Thank you for posting the photo of my Mother Shirley, her best friend Ruth Ann, and my brother Jim. I can hear both women laughing now and Mom once again proud of her car. All three are Angels and probably enjoying a ride on this sunny September day. Mom’s saying with the car was “Fill up with oil and check the gas” when stopping at the service station down at the corner.
