Oil field in the 40’s, with a 1941 Buick and the little woman.

Your bride, an oil field, a 1941 Buick, fur chaps and a sweet hat with that woke-up-wearing-it look, there must have been more to life than having everything.

“Finally made it!”

With no caption written on the actual photo we are left to guess who this is and what is going on. My guess is he just got to his parents house in Northern Michigan (’52 MI plates) for a summer getaway at the lake.

I’m not 100% certain this is a 1950 Chevy but I am 99.9% certain.

Steppin out in 1956

Can’t you just hear the photographer? “Wait! Before you go, let me snap your picture. Go stand by your new car. Say cheese. Nice”. Beautiful woman. Nice new car.

The car’s got to be a 1956 Ford. Yes?

The girl next door c.1963

Most of us know someone who looked like this back in the day. I had five sisters growing up around this era. This girl could be any of my oldest three sisters. But the Ford? No way. We were GM brats.

The car is a 1961 Ford Country Squire Station Wagon. Beautiful.
